Larry Beck

larry-beck-2-2Larry founded Beck Law Offices in 1992.For almost 30 years, Larry has practiced law in the areas of Personal Injury, Workers’ Compensation, and Employment Law. During his career, Larry has obtained thousands of settlements and verdicts for clients. In 2011, Larry obtained a federal court jury verdict in the amount of $3.8 Million Dollars for his clients in a wrongful termination case. At that time, this was the largest employment law jury verdict in Idaho, and remains one of the largest jury verdicts ever in North Idaho. In 2013, the verdict was upheld on appeal by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Larry graduated from Washington State University in 1981, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, with a major emphasis in Public Administration. Larry obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Idaho in 1987. During Law School, Larry was a member of the Idaho Law Review and American Bar Association’s Moot Court Team. Following Law School, Larry completed the prestigious litigation-trial skills program conducted by the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA). In his employment law practice, Larry also represents employees who have employment discrimination, A.D.A., Title VII, Sexual Harassment, FMLA, Due Process, Whistle-blower and wrongful termination claims. Larry has also lectured widely on employment law, municipal law and risk management, to businesses, governmental entities and bar association groups in Idaho.

Larry enjoys spending time with his wife Lisa, and son Nick, while taking in the many activities that abound in beautiful North Idaho, as well as traveling throughout the U.S. and abroad. Larry has also enjoyed coaching youth sports for years, and is a fiercely devoted fan of WSU Cougar sports teams. Ever the equal opportunity employer though, Beck Law Office’s senior associate attorney, Will Murphy, graduated from the UW and played football for the Huskies. So, if it’s Apple Cup time, and the Cougs should lose the occasional game to the Huskies, you might want to give Larry a day or two before stopping by!
